Groupon = Love

Normally I am a fan of putting up hilarious or adorable videos I have stumbled upon recently, however I am going to change it up a little for this post. (I know...hang on...this one's gonna be a doozy!)

So you know those ridiculous people that love clipping coupons and holding up lines with the thousands of them that they found online or in the paper?...yeah. That's me. So I have decided to share my most recent love, where my passion for getting the best deals and clipping coupons to save money combine into this one awesome superhero of a site.

I introduce to you..drumroll please..Groupon. (if you've already heard of this then congrats! you have probably gotten a bunch of delicious deals under your belt--you should also check out livingsocial) Anyway..back to the thing that is the current apple of my eye (this is starting to sound more like an advertisement but I promise that it's just my new obsession)....

This site allows you to sign up for free and peruse the best deals in your neighborhood that (unless you are a groupon member) won't find anywhere else. For example, say you love this really fancy and expensive restaurant and you've been dying to go but money is a little tight...well lucky for you there might just be a groupon for it! You can purchase a coupon for $10 to this restaurant and it could be worth enough to cover two tasty meals! WOO HOO! Now that's what I call a deal.

Don't get it? Maybe it's easier to understand if you just check it out. http://www.groupon.com/

In other words, for all those people trying to save money and bargain shop...this is the site for you. It's not grocery coupons people...this is ice cream shop, golf course, theater, concert, festival, outdoor activities, spa and restaurant coupon central.

I less than three it.

the end.

Grown-up dress-up

You've seen them. Pictures of odd fashion from Japan. I had no idea about why a lot of people tend to enjoy playing dress-up in public. I suggest you read this first because I found it very interesting.

Weird Hotels

Thinking about the hamster hotel that was posted awhile back, I decided to look up other strange hotels. I ran into a couple ice hotels that were breathtaking, and probably made breathing very hard. I found a room for two living in an old sewer pipe (for those who recycle), and a old jet that was turned into a hostel.

This one is part of a series about living underwater. This underwater hotel room is located on a lake near Stolkholm. The cabin boasts a ladder that leads one to a room to watch the fishes (and sleep with the fishes.) You can look at more pictures here if you're looking for a vacation.

Childhood

Despite his age, Gary still held on to the childhood belief that when dinner ended he should leave a baguette on his chair for the Starch Fairy.
