A Little Facebook Fun

Triangle Spokes Group

No this post isn't a hilarious viral video or an entertaining picture from CatalogLiving, but it's to support a pretty fun cause! The Triangle Spokes Group is a philanthropic organization that uses all of the donations they gain and put it towards the purchase of brand new bikes. These bikes go to underprivileged children in the Triangle region of North Carolina during Christmas time.

TSG now has the opportunity to raise even more money by winning this Touchy Tags competition. This company, which sells trendy baby tags that are placed on strollers and car seats, is giving 5% of their profit from 2011 to the nonprofit that receives the most votes.

If you are wondering why you should vote for this organization over the others...then watch the following clip:

Who says women always think about clothes?

A man is at home struggling with extreme chest pain and tries to call 911. When the call finally connects, he can't speak because he is having trouble breathing. So who takes over? His adorable 5 year old daughter named Savannah. She stays calm when handling the emergency at hand but is concerned about how she will look when the EMTs come.

Mmmm.. pine

Grace was pleased with herself, having escaped being eaten by hiding in this cluster of trees.

But why was it so warm, she wondered as her smile literally melted.

Spice up your life

People usually walk a fine line when it comes to keeping the integrity of the original structure of a classic song while adding a hint of their own style. Although some people dislike reconstructions of a piece, I am really enjoying this spicy arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Sugar Plum Fairy song featured in the Nutcracker.

What a find! Now that's what I call creative!

The following article and photos were taken from thehuffingtonpost.com (more specifically http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/04/european-beard-championsh_n_749286.html#s149759 )

"Hirsute men from eight countries curled, primped and even blow-dried their facial hair in preparation for the European Beard And Moustache Championship, held high in the Austrian Alps this weekend, the AFP reports.

The event drew about 150 participants to the town of Leogang, not far from Salzburg. According to MSNBC, men competed in 17 eccentric categories, including "Freestyle Beard," "Natural Moustache" and "Verdi," with the winner of the latter category bearing a style akin to the famous 19th century Italian composer Giuseppi Verdi."
